As I deal with very delicate matters, I am very hands on and guide the case from start to finish. At the beginning of each case, I spend a lot of time getting to know my clients so that I firmly understand their circumstances, what is going on in their lives, and the outcomes they are hoping to accomplish.

About James C. Schumacher

Practicing since October 1981, I started my legal career as a deputy district attorney in the 18th Judicial District of Colorado. During my time as a prosecutor, I primarily worked in support establishment and enforcement. In that roll, I was named Outstanding IV-D Attorney in 1987 by the Colorado Family Support Counsel.

From 1988 to 2010, I was with the firm which became Mustain-Wood, Walker & Schumacher. Since 2010, I have worked in my own firm to focus on family law, including tending to the financial arrangements of a legal separation, property division, and child support. Since most of my time as an attorney has been spent working on these matters, its makes me the perfect partner to fight for my client's rights.

As a lawyer, I look forward to rolling up my sleeves to help my clients during family law matters. Whether it's enforcement of a child support order, deciding how to split up assets during a separation, or legal document preparation, my experience will get the job done.
